Holiday Boot Camp Fitness Tips
Every year I noticed the number of participants exercising decrease dramatically in the month of December. Many clients have the best of intentions to workout through the holiday season but the majority do not follow through with this goal. Unfortunately many get side tracked by all the holiday festivities such as office parties, Christmas parties with friends, and holiday shopping.
For those who decide to take a break from working out during the holiday season here are some boot camp fitness tips to help prevent those unwanted pounds but allow you to still soak in the holiday atmosphere:
1). Load up on the fruit and veggies before the sweets at the parties. The fibre will fill you up thereby making you consume less sweets.
2). Drink lots of water as this will help you refrain from reaching for high calorie drinks such as soda pop, alcohol, or fruit punch.
3). Avoid over eating. We tend to gorge at these parties like it’s going to be our last meal!
4). Avoid skipping meals in order to eat one large meal at the party.
Following these tips can go a long way in keeping your weight under control throughout the holiday season. Which in turn means you will have not have to work as hard to lose the weight after New Years Eve!
