Weight Loss for Celebrity Women: The Real Truth

I want to discuss the trend of women who are aspiring to mimic their size “0” Hollywood celebrities. However by doing so is not without its risks, attempting this dramatic weight loss for women can cause infertility. The rapid weight loss can result in an irregular menstrual cycle. Further weight loss in women can prevent ovulation putting their health at risk. In order to have a healthy pregnancy it is necessary for women to carry an optimal amount of body fat to store estrogen and other hormones.

So how do these Hollywood celebs magically shed the weight down to a size zero in a matter of weeks? Well if they tell you that it is the result of healthy eating, fad diets, and exercise regiment then it’s nothing but a big lie. It is impossible to lose that much weight in such a short period of time in a healthy manner.

In most cases they probably resorted to some form of slimming drug, the most popular is known as Clenbuterol. I remember hearing about Clenbuterol being used in bodybuilding circles many years ago to shed weight and pack on muscle quickly before competitions. “Clen”, as it is often referred to, is used to treat asthma in horses. While it is not illegal to possess or purchase for personal use I find it disturbing it can be purchased easily over the internet.

Using this drug can lead to strokes or heart failure. In addition, its effects are temporary because once you stop taking Clenbuterol you end up gaining more weight then you originally carried before using the drug.

So if you are thinking of a quick fix for your weight loss issues consider the unnecessary risks involved. I have known individuals who have used drugs to enhance their bodies only to regret their decision years later. If your trainer is recommending or selling you these drugs then find yourself another trainer. It is not worth the risk to your long term health. Remember your goal is to live a quality healthy life for many years to come.
